Bullet
ridden truck has police seeking help to identify culprits
On Saturday Morning, August 13, 2005, at approximately
5.10 am in the morning, Bedford Police Department personnel received an emergency call, reporting a shooting at a residence in the 2200 block of Ridgewood Dr. The resident called and reported that approximately
5.05 am he heard what he believed were several gun shots. When he went outside and checked around his residence, he reported that he observed what he believed to be bullet hole in the tailgate of his 2001 Chevrolet pick-up.
On the arrival of the responding patrol officers, they found that the drive for this residence was at the rear of the residence, and was actually in the 2800 block of Barr Street. As they checked the area, the responding officers located five shell casings. They also observed what they believed was a bullet hole in the tailgate of the pick-up and that the left rear tire was flat on the vehicle.
Investigators and Crime Scene Technicians responded, and collected the five-shell casing. They also collected at least of the bullet intact, and one bullet fragment.
Police Investigators are continuing the investigation, but no arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators do not have any other evidence, or known witnesses at this point, and are seeking the help from anyone who have may seen or heard anything early Saturday morning.
