Preview Tour of Colleyville's New Justice Center - Three Pages of Exclusive Photos

Colleyville Police Chief John Young graciously provided a tour of the new Colleyville Justice Center on May 23, 2003.  The center is expected to be furnished and opened within the next few days.

The new Justice Center features state-of-the-art security and design.  The new courtroom is designed and built with the ability in the future to be a "Court of Record".  The new facility has room for two court clerks, a conference room, record storage, six person jury box and deliberation room, large projection screen and television screen for tape recorded viewing.

A very proud Police Chief John Young conducted the tour through the new facility.

The cashier windows have a scientific design called "talk around" meaning the windows are secure but there is no need for microphones or a hole in the window.

The entry into the new center is a grand opening with high ceilings and dark wood trim.  The two color wood design is carried through into the court room.

The new court room is stunning yet practical.  The design is a dignified setting with wood trim and two tone features.

The new facility is most definitely high-tech.  This projection screen drops from the ceiling if needed for presentations.

The room features electronic shades that come from the ceiling to provide a quick adjustment to sun entry and efficiency.
