January 10, 2005 Colleyville Man Arrested Three Times in Nine Days is held without bond
Colleyville Police Records show Moore arrested 3 times in 9 days: 1.) HAROLD MICHAEL MOORE, Colleyville PD-Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd Or More, $25,000 Bond. Charged by Officer Doug Huseman. Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd Or More, $10,000 Bond. Charged by Officer Tim Osborn. Arrested at 12:36 PM on 12/20/04. Released/Bond, on 12/20/04. 2.) HAROLD MICHAEL MOORE, Colleyville PD-Public Intoxication. Charged by Officer Brian Thorne at 2:57 PM on 12/12/04. Cash Bond, released on 12/13/04. The Colleyville Police report was written by Officer B.J. Thorne. Thorne wrote that upon his arrival he met with the person who had called the police department. The individual advised Thorne that the subject of the call was Harold Moore who, "...was arrested yesterday by this department for DWI and been released and transported to HEB hospital for medical condition." Thorne was told Moore had been released from the hospital, brought home and began drinking alcohol again. The individual told Thorne that she had talked Moore into letting her take him to a clinic to be treated for his alcohol problem. However, as they were driving down Glade Road near SH 26, Moore suddenly jumped out of the backseat of the car as it was approaching the red light near the closed Eckerd's parking lot. Thorne reported that he spoke to Moore who.."had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his person. Moore had to hold onto the vehicle for support." Thorne wrote that he asked Moore what was going on and Moore told Thorne he did not want to go to the clinic. Thorne's report continued, "I told Moore that he was going to be placed under arrest for Public Intoxication. Moore than pleaded for me to let him go to the clinic with them. Due to dealing with Moore several times in the past, I knew that he was trying to get out of going to jail. I transported Moored to the Colleyville City jail..," concluded Thorne's report. 3.) HAROLD MICHAEL MOORE, Colleyville PD-Driving While Intoxicated, 3rd Time-F3. Refused Breath Test. Charged by Officer Tim Osborn at 3:15 PM on 12/11/04. Released at 7:14 PM on 12/11/04, Pending Further Investigation. While Texas continues to lead the nation in deaths from alcohol related automobile accidents, the saga of Harold Michael Moore of Colleyville is a profile in how one case has been handled involving alcohol and Texas Justice. On June 17, 1995, Moore was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and charged by the Denton County District Attorney. Moore was convicted on May 28, 1997, fined $2000 plus $215 in court cost, sentenced to a 180 day confinement and 12 months probation. On December 21, 1996, Moore was arrested for Assault Causing Bodily Injury and on November 10, 1997 Moore was convicted. Court records show, "Probation revocation, subject's probation has been revoked." He was sentenced to an additional 45 days in jail, fined $300 plus $194 in court cost. On September 2, 1997, Moore was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated in Tarrant County, plead guilty and on the same day as sentenced for the December 21, 1996 DWI, Moore is fined $204 in court costs, sentenced to 45 days in jail and has his driver's license suspended. On February 22, 1998, Moore was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, in Tarrant County and on February 5, 1999, Moore is sentenced to 10 years and given 10 years probation.
