Tony Licata files for Place 2 on
Colleyville City Council
Tony Licata has filed for the City Council position
currently held by Council member Elaine Dolan. To date Dolan has
not filed for re-election to her seat.

There is speculation that Dolan may
consider joining a crowded field and run for mayor. To date, David Kelly
and John Grace have filed for mayor. Current Mayor Joe Hocutt has
not filed for re-election to date.
Licata has been a resident of Colleyville since 1987, except for a 2
year work assignment in Venezuela.
Licata's wife, Linda, was a school nurse with GCISD for 10 years and all
three sons graduated from GCISD high schools, 2 from Colleyville
Heritage and 1 son from Grapevine High School. He retired from
GTE/Verizon after 21 years.
Licata served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment in 1991 and was the
Co-Chair of Colleyville's Master Planning Committee from 1991 to
1993. Licata has been a youth coach in soccer, baseball and
wrestling. He is currently on the American Heart Association
Northeast Tarrant Board, h is the Chairman of the Tarrant County
Chapter of the American Field Services Intercultural Program, a program
that has been involved with high school exchange students since WWII
and a member of the Colleyville Lions Club. On
his decision to run, Licata said, "I believe I can help contribute
to increased teamwork and critical thinking. I am a fiscal
conservative and committed to the approach that citizens should feel
they are getting true value in city services for their tax dollars
invested. I have decided to step forward in the spirit of volunteerism
as I have before in other areas."
Licata has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and
holds an MBA from SMU.
