April 16, 2005 Thieves get big haul from Precinct
Line service station During the night of April 9, 2005, two male suspects bashed a large 18" x 5' tall hole in the exterior brick wall at the rear of the Texaco convenience store building at 7990 Precinct Line Road. The nocturnal thieves were recorded on surveillance tape as they proceeded to rip the alarm system out of the wall, and cut the telephone lines. The men hauled off with the Automatic Teller Machine, which was chock full of Saturday night cash; an estimated $10,000 to $12,000. The ATM itself is valued at $6,000. Also taken, according to Officer Raymon Cannon's report, was a security safe; value and contents not determined. Detective David Martz is reviewing the video tape and conducting the investigation.
4/11/05 Criminal Mischief at 5912 Quails Path, when an identified suspect lost control of his vehicle on the street, ran off the asphalt, and plowed through the homeowner's yard, around 9:50 PM. Considerable amount of damage ($5000) was sustained to a large tree, concrete bird bath, flower beds, and the grass, according to Officer Craig Terrell's report. Detective Kevin Walling followed up with an investigation of the suspect.
4/11/05 Criminal Mischief in the Lifetime Fitness parking lot at 1221 Church St. Male resident of 2900 Sherwood Lane advised Officer Bob Etheridge that between 6:05 PM to
7:40 PM, while he worked out, his black GMC Sierra 1500 was "keyed" on the left front door by an unknown person. Damages will be between $500 to $1500 to repair. Detective David Martz is following up.
4/09/05 Reckless Damage reported to Officer Tim Osborn at 10:12 AM, at 7201 Vanguard Court. Large delivery truck struck a stone and brick retaining wall, smack in the center, cracking the mortar. Estimated damages were set at $500. Detective David Martz is investigating the driver of the truck.
4/07/05 Theft report from the Mobil gas station/convenience store at 4405 Colleyville Blvd. Employee told Sgt. Billy McCullough at 11:20 PM, a white male accompanied by a black male entered the store and took two bags of chips and an 18 count pack of Bud Lite beer. The suspects then left the store without paying. The victim said the two men did not approach him, but he saw an outline of a gun under the clothing of one of the suspects. Detective David Martz is investigating.
4/06/05 Burglary of a Building at 6609 Herbert Road, possible Forced Entry. Victim, who now lives on Birch Lane, reported to Officer Jennifer Holderead that unknown suspect(s) stole specialty tools and vehicle parts from the detached building. Take was a 12" Tile slide ($500), Ryder rotor saw ($400), 3 pairs axles for a race car ($750), Floater rear end ($1500), 2 upper A-frames ($400), 583 gear set ($175), thirdmember/pumpkin for the rear end of a vehicle ($500), and some hand tools ($250). Detective Kevin Walling is working the case.
