Local Sports Bar (next to First Baptist Church) beginning to make its mark on city...DWI's and wandering drunk patrons climbing neighboring fences.
Officers Gwen Parker and Malinda Spence responded to a trespassing report at 2:10 AM on August 21, 2005, at 1004 Hardage Lane, regarding a young white female who had been discovered by the homeowner in his backyard.

The woman, Summer Eernisse, 21, of Irving, had walked away from an evening at Smitty's Sports Bar, 5224 Colleyville Boulevard, and decided to climb the wrought iron fence in the homeowner's driveway. Unfortunately, the hapless Eernisse caught her jean pants on the railing when she went over the fence and fell on her noodle, putting a two inch gash above her right eyebrow. Upon hearing the commotion, the homeowner and his wife came outside. Neither were previously acquainted with the woman, but nevertheless attempted to assist her by phoning police for help.

Officer Parker's report states she and Officer Spence "detected a slight odor of alcoholic beverage about Eernisse's person", but went on to say that the woman's head injury "possibly contributed to her uncoordinated movements and she stood a great chance of having lasting effects from the injury".

Summer Eernisse had been spotted earlier in the evening at Smitty's Sports Bar by patrolling Officers Doug Huseman and Chuck Tinsman, in the company of another female. After those officers arrived to assist, they located her friends back at Smitty's along with the designated driver who had been looking for her, and also contacted her common law husband, William Mitchell Meshelle.

Ms. Eernisse refused medical treatment, but Mr. Meshelle, who arrived shortly and had not been drinking, was advised to seek medical treatment for her immediately, to which he agreed, "emphatically" and promised to take her to Baylor Medical Center.

9/01/05 Criminal Mischief by "keying" a vehicle belonging to a 17 year old Grapevine resident while it was parked at the Albertsons Grocery, 4000 Glade Road. The complainant told Officer Malinda Spence that it was the second time the black Nissan Maxima had been keyed in the last two weeks.

8/28/05 Criminal Mischief at 7013 David Lane and Peters Path in the new Warwick Parc subdivision. The land developer told Officer John Retzos that unknown suspect(s) knocked over a total of 10 Port 'O Potty toilets on their sides, sometime between midnight and 10:40 AM last Sunday.

8/30/05 Credit/Debit Card Abuse complaint at 5400 Maple Lane. The female victim reported to Officer Bill Hudgins that unknown suspect(s) made unauthorized charges using her debit card number on the Internet.

8/28/05 Criminal Mischief at 1005 Glade Road. Officer Doug Huseman responded to an alarm call at 1:37 AM. Upon arrival, the Officer found a broken window on the north side of the commercial building, but no suspects were located. The broken double-pane glass will cost $200 to repair.

8/23/05 - 8/26/05 Burglary of a Building at 6812 Curtis Road, in the west side of the City. The complainant told Officer Raymon Cannon that unknown person(s) burglarized the detached garage next to his residence, and hauled off with multiple tools. Stolen items included a Craftsman red 3 drawer toolbox ($500), Craftsman 16" tabletop bandsaw ($250), Black and Decker Versa Pak Battery System ($100), Troy Bilt lawn trimmer ($100), and a green Poulan chainsaw ($100).

8/16/05 Theft By Check at Market Street, 5605 Colleyville Blvd. The same white female suspect, Ms. Deborah Sifuentes of Bedford, who last week wrote a check to Penny Lane on a closed account, had written another one to the grocery store for merchandise. The report lists the check between $500-$1500.

8/13/05 Domestic Disturbance at 1900 Caspian Lane, in the Cascades of Timmaron. The female complainant reported to Officer Doug Huseman that her husband had come home from drinking all day, and they had gotten into a verbal altercation. The husband had gone outside and she had locked the door behind him to keep him from coming back inside. The man went to the rear of the home and used a baseball bat to break a window to get back inside. The husband was sitting on the sofa when the Officer arrived after midnight, and both parties stated no physical violence had occurred. The wife decided to leave, so she gathered up the kids and left for the night.
