TARRANT DISTRICT ATTORNEY ACCEPTS CRIMINAL CASE OF ANIMAL CRUELTY AGAINST COLLEYVILLE VET WHO KILLED NEIGHBOR'S FAMILY PET

Police Reports indicate that the family dachshund, "Ginger Ball" , was not guilty of killing chickens when bludgeoned to death by Colleyville Vet in clear view of the owner.

COLLEYVILLE – Local News Only.com has obtained via Open Records police reports and eyewitness statements concerning the killing of a neighbor's family pet by a Colleyville Veterinarian.

Witnesses say the small dachshund was actually responding to its owner when Mircea Volosen used a steel wood splitting mawl to kill the family pet.

In a sworn statement, Kevin Ball of 49000 Cranbrook said that he screamed at Volosen not to hurt the dog and Volosen slammed the mawl into the dog anyway.

The dog was rushed to a local vet hospital however was pronounced dead upon arrival from a blunt blow that broke ribs and virtually "exploded the small animal's heart."

Upon questioning by Colleyville Police Officer Kevin Walling, Volosen first claimed that the dog had killed some of his chickens.

However, when pressed to produce the dead chickens, Volosen stated that "the dog must have taken it away."  Officer Walling challenged his statement by pointing out that would be impossible since he killed the dog.
At that point Volosen stated, "I'm tired of the neighbor's dogs coming over to my house."

The District Attorney has accepted the case and has charged Volosen with criminal animal cruelty.

Volosen has refused to return repeated telephone calls from LNO.  As of this posting there is a "For Rent" sign posted in front of the Volosen address.

In September of this past year, Volosen killed a Labrador retriever with a blunt object after finding that the dog had killed some of his animals. According to a police report Volosen filed, the dog had killed seven rabbits and a chicken.
