“We
are thrilled to be joining the Colleyville community with
an innovative shopping experience that has something for
everyone,” said Barron.
“Market Street truly is the place where everyday
meets gourmet; customers in a hurry can grab a meal to go,
while others can choose from a variety of everyday and
gourmet items for the family or a special occasion.”
Barron has worked for the company for
almost 20 years, having served stores in Abilene, Amarillo
and Lubbock. He
attended Texas Tech and he and his wife, Denise, have two
children, Braxton and Natalie. Barron was the “2002 Volunteer of the Year” for the March
of Dimes Big Country Division, where he also served as
vice chairman of the Board of Directors.
He co-chaired WalkAmerica, that group’s largest
annual fundraiser, for 2002-2003.
Barron will be assisted by Jason
D’Onofrio, customer relations manager; Robert D.
Nichols, center store manager; and Codie Hair, perishables
manager.
Market Street is a world-class food
concept store from United Supermarkets, a retail grocery
chain that traces its roots back to 1916.
The Texas-based, family-owned company operates 44
stores in 23 markets.
United Supermarkets still embodies the philosophy
of its founders: quality,
value, customer service and community involvement.
Market Street is extending those same ideals into
new markets, combined with a fresh approach to the grocery
store experience.
