 LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Starring
Tenor Jay Hunter Morris Opens At The Palace in Grapevine

(Grapevine, TX - July 17, 2003) Audrey II, the infamous bloodthirsty
plant, makes a stop at The Palace Arts Center in Grapevine in the
musical production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. The popular musical, which
runs July 17 - August 3, is the first produced by Ohlook Theatre at The
Palace Arts Center.

Jay Hunter Morris, playing Seymour, leads the talented cast featuring
Broadway veterans and local talent. Tenor Matthew Lord plays Orin
Scrivello, the dentist. Other performers include Mary Gilbreath as
Audrey, Steven Pounders as Mr. Mushnik and Kevin Haliburton as the voice
of Audrey II. Morris has established himself as one of the most
promising tenors on the operatic and concert scene today and is well
known for originating the role of Tony in Terrence McNally's "Master
Class" on Broadway.

Based on the 1960 Roger Corman movie, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS tells the
story of Seymour Krelbourn, a meek florist who makes a Faustian pact
with a tiny plant in order to win the girl he loves. The mysterious
plant, however, needs blood to survive, and by the end of the show,
practically all of the principle characters have been devoured.

The musical boasts music by Alan Menken, and lyrics and book by Howard
Ashman, the duo who created other memorable characters including Ariel
in The Little Mermaid and Belle in Beauty and the Beast.  The original
show opened off Broadway on July 27, 1982, enjoying a run of 2,209
performances and critical acclaim. It was also made into a 1986 motion
picture starring Rick Moranis as Seymour and Steven Martin as the
sadistic dentist Orin Scrivello.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS runs July 17 through August 3, 2003, at The
Palace Arts Center on Main Street in Grapevine. Evening and matinee
performances are offered. Tickets are $8 for children and students and
$15 for adults. For tickets or information, call (817) 421-2825.
