Woodforest
National Bank in Kroger Store on Rufe Snow Robbed
On Monday December 12, 20005, at 3:06 pm, the Keller Police Department received a call of a bank robbery at the Woodforest National Bank. The bank is a branch facility located inside a Kroger Food Store at 2061 Rufe Snow Drive. Upon arrival officers checked the immediate area of the bank and store with negative results. The victim, a 21 year-old female teller, stated that a white male entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect displayed a small black automatic handgun to the teller. The teller gave the suspect the money in the window drawer, and the suspect left by the front doors of the store. It is unknown if the suspect was in a vehicle or on foot, or if he had an accomplice. No witnesses have been located at this time. Security video of the suspect shows that the offense took place at approximately 3:02 pm.
The suspect is described as heavyset (6’0” to 6’2”, 280 to 300 lbs.) with brown hair and a brown goatee. He was wearing a white baseball cap and a dark colored pullover type windbreaker. Detectives are arranging to obtain a digital picture of the suspect for release. It is unknown when the photo will be available.
