GCISD
students participating in IMAX® groundbreaking
Twenty-two
students from Grapevine-Colleyville ISD will round out
the cast of one of the biggest cinematic experiences to
come to North Texas.
These students have been invited to participate in
Thursday’s groundbreaking ceremony for the Metro
Cinema/IMAX® Theater complex in Colleyville Town
Center. They were selected based on their participation
in the GCISD Video Festival, and represent last year’s
video winners and this year’s winners of the
logo/poster contest.

"America's Money Doctor" will discuss updates
on his attempt to free Colleyville's Karen Lucchesi from
federal prison
He is on Zig Ziglar's
"Born to Win faculty and has spoken to hundreds of
professional, civic and educational groups about his
passion to help individuals protect and grow their
personal wealth. However, Gallagher has another passion and that is the
injustice he believes marks the situation of Karen
Lucchesi. Lucchesi, former owner of the La Plaza
Spa in Colleyville is currently serving a 78 months
sentence.

The Colleyville City Council will accept applications for positions on the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee December 13 through January 13, 2006, at 5:00 p.m. The Traffic Safety Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to traffic safety. The Committee meets quarterly on the second Monday of the month. The terms of office are for a period of two years.

12/04/05 Theft from the Albertsons Grocery at
4000 Glade Road. Officer John Arenz responded at
9:56 PM to a report of a subject running from the
store pushing a full cart of what was later
determined to be $328.43 worth of groceries.

Remodeling Contractor Takes the Money and Runs...
11/22/05
Theft reported at 1216 Chatsworth Drive, by the female
homeowner, 35, who gave a check to a representative of
Empire Cabinets in the amount of $10,400 for remodeling
work in The Lakes of Somerset home. The suspect who took
the check, Lucky Grana, never completed the work
according to the complainant. Detective Kevin Walling is
following up.

Time Colleyville Businessman dies
Jimmy Jobe, owner of
Jobe's Printing in Colleyville died unexpectedly of
a heart attack in the early morning hours of November
23rd. Jobe was only 61 years old. LNO reported Mr.
Jobe's passing in the Obituaries section on that date,
however, since he was now living in Hurst it came to the
attention of the Editor that some of his long term
customers and friends may not have made the
connection. Deepest sympathies to his wife Peggy
and the entire Jobe family from LNO.

render it inappropriate for commercial development.
