Chicken Express Robbed

Robbery on Sunday
At 10:44 pm on Sunday, 12-04-2005 officers
responded to a reported robbery at the Chicken Express
restaurant located at 791 Keller Parkway. Officers met
with a 20 year old male assistant manager who reported
that he had been pepper sprayed by two unknown
assailants who entered the business through the rear
door.

Bar Owner arrested in Keller for Cocaine Possession

Manny
Mena, shown in this Keller Police mug shot from May
7, 2005, was arrested in Keller, on possession of
cocaine. LNO has confirmed he is the same Mena
that was charged with distribution of cocaine and heroin
in New Jersey in 1991.

Vicki Truitt releases statement on court school finance
ruling.

At last,
the long-awaited Supreme Court opinion has been
delivered. It confirmed what we suspected, and that is
that over time the current method of public school
finance has evolved to the point that it has become
unconstitutional because we have what has been
interpreted to be a statewide property tax.
