Seniors
Locked Out of the First Baptist Church Colleyville
Thank you for publishing the story about the senior
adults who were "locked out" of Sunday School
at First Baptist Church, Colleyville....
Harber is accessible...Mike Taylor should be mentioned
.. he tried to
put words in the mouth of the congregation ..
"They
are called Imperial Pastors"
Frank Harber fits this mold..
This
is the TIP of the iceberg. Many other members have
been approached
and told to leave or that they might have a better fit
in another church.....
I applaud you for your article about Pastor Frank
Harber and his activities ...
WOW! Based on that news article, I guess the

Associate Pastor of First Baptist in Colleyville Speaks
Out

A
Local News Only.com exclusive in the continuing series
of articles on the First Baptist Church of Colleyville
" I know other leaders that have done the same. The
first one that came to my mind, even while I was a staff
member at Colleyville, was that of
Jonestown in 1978."
In
his role as the Missions and Evangelism Pastor, Paul
Varnedoe and Frank Harber traveled the world together
from Texas to Germany. Varnedoe would be a lead
man, so to speak, and visit churches to get them
together for Harber crusades. He would coordinate an
effort with the churches involved to raise funds paying
for the crusade.

So,
what's going on at the First Baptist church in

A guest

I
donated a some of the where the church is located over
50 years ago
Thank
you for your article on First Baptist Church
Colleyville. I would like to identify myself as
the lady who donated, over 50 years ago, a portion of
the land where First Baptist Church Colleyville is
located. It has been a real blessing to see the
church grow and minister to many, many people. I
would also like to say that I am a member of the class
that was locked out in the cold that very, very painful
February Sunday morning. The bible Study that
morning, on the Life of Paul, was going to be taught by
Patsy Smith. It is so difficult for me to believe
that Patsy, along with three other members, received a
letter the following Monday removing their membership
from the Church.

three-way race, finishing 3rd, against Joe Hocutt and Richard
Newton, finally losing to Place 2 Tony Licata during last year's
city council election. Place 6 will be a three-way race with
Taylor, Jim Berk and Ray Spoth.
