Kara Peterson, a twenty-one year old graduate from Colleyville Heritage High School has not wandered far from her alma mater to make a life of her own. After graduating early from CHHS in ’02, Kara knew she wanted to be a hair stylist and would stop at nothing to become one.
Upon graduation, Kara received a scholarship and used the money to begin a college career but knew after a semester it wasn’t for her. So she enrolled into the Ogle School for Hair and completed her training in nine months.
Her first few jobs at various salons did not fulfill the entrepreneurial spirit inside of her. “My past job had such a corporate atmosphere, I had no freedom to work the way I wanted to…Here at Salon G, I have full freedom to work in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere that feels like home where I can conduct my business the way I fell my skills will best be utilized.” |
Kara has finally found a place that suits her entrepreneurial spirit. She is an independent contractor at Salon G, which basically means finding and retaining clients on her own. Her clients are also her marketers, so doing a great job is a must. “If I were to mess up one of my clients hair, then they would tell 20 people and I’d soon have a bad reputation.”

Salon G has allowed Kara to have special relationships with her clients. One of her longtime clients came to her right before a job interview and Kara colored her hair at no extra cost because she knew it would help out with her client’s interview. “I knew my client was going through a tough time and could only afford a haircut for her interview, but I recognized her hair needed to be colored so I did it for her at no extra cost so she would look her best!” Kara’s previous jobs would not allow her the freedom to do this.
If you’re looking for a hair stylist that is personable, professional and excited to build a personal, long-term relationship with her clients, contact Kara Peterson 817-455-1574 at Salon G located in the strip center off 121 and Glade in Euless.
