According to the
victims'
accounts, the evening
had begun innocently
enough at the Glass
Cactus at the Gaylord
Hotel in Grapevine after
the two women, who had
been fast friends while
attending Coppell High
School, agreed to meet
at the popular lounge to
catch up. One of the
women, 20, was
attending the University
of Mississippi, and the
other, 21, had recently
graduated from college
and was just starting
law school.

the following

While the two were in
the lounge they were
delighted when they
coincidently ran into
another very good friend
from their high school
days-a man named Nick.
Nick appeared to
be accompanied by an
older man and the Ole
Miss woman asked Nick if
that man was his
father. Nick responded
that it was his "older
brother". The two women
and men gathered
together and
the four spent the rest
of the time while at the
Gaylord venue happily
visiting with one
another.

The alleged
assault took
place on the
sofa in this
Warwick Parc
home located at
Peter's Path. |

 |
At some point
later in the
evening, the
group decided to
go see the
Colleyville home
of the "older
brother" at 6912
Peter's Path in
Warwick Parc,
which is listed
in Tarrant
Appraisal
District records
as belonging to
Geoffrey Walsh
and carries his
homestead
exemption.
All drove their
own cars.
Initially
Walsh was
described by
another student
as his "older
brother."

The law student and
Nick had been enamored
of one another back in
their old Coppell High
days and had resumed
the romance during the
course of the evening.
After touring the home,
the couple excused
themselves into another
room of the house,
leaving the Ole Miss
woman alone with the man
now identified from the
police lineup as
Geoffrey F. Walsh.
Walsh indicated to the
woman, a former
Homecoming Queen, that
he also would be
interested in sharing
some romantic time with
her, but she politely
declined. According to
her account, she asked
Walsh if he would mind
if she just slept on his
sofa for a little while
until her friend
returned from the other
room, and Walsh agreed
that would be fine by
him.
She alleges that
she awoke on the sofa
with a start sometime
later in the very early
morning to find Walsh
with a finger on his one
hand "digitally
penetrating" her vagina,
and his other hand
meanwhile masturbating
his own penis.
Horrified, she jumped
up, grabbed her
shoes and one of
Walsh's business cards
which had been left on a
counter, tore out of the
house and fled in
her car, her heart
racing.
After the young
woman settled down, she
realized that her friend
was still in the house.
She knew that her
friend was with Nick,
and rationalized that
the friend would be
protected by his
presence. But Nick had
also said he
"worked" with Walsh at
his investment
business. She
hesitated, and
then called the law
student's cell phone
number to tell her what
had happened and why she
had suddenly abandoned
the house.
The law student answered
and was "nearly
hysterical". Evidently
Nick had left the
friend alone in the
house just a short while
earlier so he could go
to work. Shockingly,
the woman said that
Walsh had come into the
room after Nick left and
tried to perform the
exact same assault on
her as well.

Colleyville Police
arrested Geoffrey Walsh
on December 19 at the
Colleyville Justice
Center at 7:20 AM on the
two counts of Sexual
Assault. He was booked,
finger-printed and
posted Bond during
the "walk-through"
arrest, and was
subsequently released at
10:05 AM on the same
morning.
Nick, who was questioned
by Detectives about the
incidents,
was reportedly horrified
by the acts of his "best
friend" and immediately
quit his job. A safe
order against Geoffrey
Walsh has been issued,
according to the father
of one of the
women. Colleyville
Detectives are still
awaiting the return of
test results from a Fort
Worth medical facility,
where the women went for
treatment following the
assaults.
