Carroll Names Chief Technology Officer
Patrick Tanner has been named Carroll’s new Chief
Technology Officer. His hiring was approved by
Trustees during Monday evening’s School Board
meeting.

Tanner brings more than 18 years of
experience to the district. He most recently
served as Manager of Information Technology
Services for Skyward, Inc. – a developer of
student, finance and human resources
administrative software for K-12 school
districts. Having served nine years in the
United States Air Force as Information
Systems Manager, Tanner’s experience also
includes IT management work for the Garland
Independent School District, Southwest
Airlines as well as consulting. |
“Patrick’s level of experience in the realm of
information technology speaks for itself,” said
Superintendent Dr. David J. Faltys. “We’re excited
to welcome him to the District and believe his
expertise will have a great impact on the Carroll
ISD community.”
Tanner is a graduate of Dallas Christian College,
and holds certifications as a Cisco Certified
Network Associate (CCNA), Master Certified Network
Associate (MCNE), Certified Xiotech Engineer (CXE)
and Certified Novell Engineer (CNE).
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the Carroll
Dragon family,” said Tanner. “And, I’m looking
forward to working with the CISD team to establish a
world class technology environment.”
