Rash of home burglaries in Haltom City

76148, 76180
General Information
Between February 14, 2008 and March 13, 2008, there
have been 15 burglaries of homes occurring in
District 3 and District 5 of Haltom City. The areas
effected most are neighborhoods east of N Beach St,
south of NE Loop 820, west of Denton Hwy, and north
of Broadway Ave. The highest concentration of these
crimes are occurring north of Broadway Ave and south
of Stanley Keller Rd.
On average, these crimes are occurring during the
week between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. Methods of entry
include forcing doors open, breaking windows,
unlocked doors and unlocked windows.
Citizens are encouraged to make their homes a hard
target by securing all doors and windows and
activating alarm systems if available. Avoid leaving
garage doors open and remove all valuables from
vehicles. Anyone who observes suspicious persons, or
vehicles in their neighborhood are asked to contact
the Haltom City Police Department at (817) 222-7000.
