The
North Richland Hills Fire Department is taking
applications for the next Citizens Fire Academy.
The Citizens Fire Academy will begin
April 10 and continue each Thursday from 7 to 10
p.m. for 8 weeks.
The program includes
training in CPR and First Aid, which enable
residents to be better prepared to respond to
emergency situations in their homes and
neighborhoods. Participants will also see hands
on demonstrations in basic firefighting
techniques, auto extrication, extinguisher use,
technical rescue, hazardous materials, and a
demonstration of the Bomb Squad’s capabilities.
