4/30/08 Suspects
broke
into
an
award-winning
model
home at
1604
Glade
Road
by
breaking
the
frame
on
the
rear
patio
door,
and
then
hauling off
with
a
monster
load
of built-in
appliances,
furniture,
and
even
plasma
flat
screen televisions,
according
to
the
report
given
Officer
Brian
Wilson.
Stone
Mill
Custom
Homes
had
showcased
the
house
the
past
three
weekends
in
the annual
Greater
Fort
Worth
Spring
Tour
of
New
Homes, winning
the
$1
Million
to
$1.25
Million class. Ken
Kisner,
51,
told
Police
that
the
burglary occurred
sometime
between
5:30
PM
on
Sunday
evening
and
was
discovered around
9:15
AM
on
Wednesday
morning.
Stolen
items
included
Stereo
equipment
with
DVD
player,
sub-woofer,
and
Surround
Sound
($5,000),
two
Panasonic 42"
flat-screen TVs
($2,000)-one
from
the
upstairs
gameroom
and
one
from
a
rear
bedroom,
Panasonic
LCD
Projector
($3,000)
from
the
media
room
along
with
a
3-piece
black
leather
recliner
($1,500),
and
from
the
front
office, a
Norcent 20"
flat-screen
TV ($1,000)
and a
high-back
suede
Lane
office
chair
($250).
But
wait,
the
thieves
were
not
yet
done...
More
astonishing
was
the missing
48"
stainless
steel
Sub-Zero built-in
refrigerator
stolen
($10,000),
which
had
to
weigh
as
much
as a
pickup
truck.
Also
taken
was
a
stainless
steel
Wolf
gas
cooktop
($8,000),
stainless
steel Asco
dishwasher
($2,000), stainless
steel
Sub-Zero
wine
refrigerator
($1,200),
Sharp
stainless
steel "draw
style"
microwave
($1,000), stainless
steel
Wolf
"warming
draw"
($1,500)
whatever
that
is,
and
a comparably
light mini-refrigerator
($250).
Damage
to
the
patio
door
casing
was
estimated
at
$1,000.
Detective Bob Etheridge is investigating the Burglary of a Building, possibly by checking out local hospitals for new patients with recent bulging spinal disks.
In
spite
of
the
break-in
occurring
right
on
the
busy
corner
of
Glade
Road
and
Rose
Street,
about
a
half-mile
from
the
Justice
Center,
because
of
the
recent
flurry
of activity
at
the
house
from landscape
installation,
pond
work,
privacy
fencing
and
people
coming
and going for the free
viewing
of
the
Open
House,
no
one
appeared
to
have noticed
the
burglary
in
progress.

Estates.
Officer
Toby Sims
took
the
report
from
the
homeowner,
Joachim
Hirsch,
55,
who said
suspect(s)
entered
his
residence
without
authorization
and
stole
his coin
box
with
share
coins
($50).
