Planning is well underway for the sixth annual "Breakfast with Santa" event hosted by the Colleyville Lions Club.  The event will be held Saturday, December 1, 2001, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at the Colleyville Community Center.  The breakfast follows the November 30, "Celebrate Colleyville" festivities which occur the evening before.  The price of admission is $10.00 ($7.00 advance purchase) for the whole family plus one can of food per family member and/or an old set of eye glasses for all the breakfast a family can eat.  All food collected at this event is donated to GRACE.  All proceeds will go to charity.  The eye glasses are distributed world wide for to needy.

In addition to the great food produced by the Lion's Club famous rolling "cooker", there will be plenty of holiday songs, clowns, face painting, balloons, and good cheer.  Santa will be present to meet and record the children's Christmas wishes.  Pictures with Santa will be available for a charge of $3.00 for each picture and frame.

According to chairman Tom Westerman, "The primary purpose of this event is to establish Community Holiday Spirit and Tradition.  The last five years of holding this event has been viewed by the Lions Club as a big success.  We established this event as something that the community can look forward to and enjoy each year.  At the same time, the Lions Club will use the proceeds to help other, less fortunate persons."

We are happy This year that the Colleyville Lions are participating in "Celebrate Colleyville" from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on November 30, 2001.
