The Colleyville Lion's Club announced that their 4th annual 5k will be held on August 25, 2001.  The start/finish line will be at the Colleyville Heritage High School located near Hwy 121 and Glade Road.

The event attracts participants from the Metroplex area and Lion's spokesman estimated that as many as 500 runners will join in the morning run.

The event benefits sight related charities and has seen significant growth since its inception.

Funds are primarily generated from Sponsors of the event.  The Sponsorship levels are $2,500, $1,000, $500 and $250.

Sponsors receive recognition for the support of the event, including their company's logo and name on event day t-shirts, 10,000 brochures distributed throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area at other running events and advertising promotions.

The cut-off date to insure Sponsor's name on all promotional brochures is July 6, 2001.
