Treadway will be assuming command of the 49th Operations Group, 49th Fighter Wing, Holloman AFB, New Mexico.  In addition to supporting national security objectives with mission ready F-117A stealth fighters, the unit mobilizes and deploys worldwide to meet peacetime and wartime objectives.

COLLEYVILLE CITY COUNCIL PLANS RETREAT WORK SESSION AT HILTON 

The Colleyville City Council has announced a work session, which will be open to the public, to discuss the status of various city projects. The session will be held at Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center Currency Room. The hotel is located at 1800 Highway 26 East in Grapevine. It will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, and resume at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30.

TOM DOOLEY PRESENTS "AMERICA'S LOST DREAM" JULY 1 IN COLLEYVILLE

"America's Lost Dream", a dramatic 3-screen multi-media production, will be presented by Tom Dooley at First Assembly of God Colleyville at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1 in observance of Independence Day. The drama chronicles the nation's history from the signing of the Declaration of Independence through the present day. The drama, narrated by Dooley, is free and the public is invited.

Gross Sales Comparison Shows 10 NE Tarrant Cities 
with increases, 4 with decreases.

Grapevine far outpaced any other local city with almost $80 million increase in gross retail sales comparing 4th Quarter 1999 with 4th Quarter 2000.  Only 4 cities show a decrease in  Bedford, Colleyville, Richland Hills and Roanoke. A major retailer loss was reflected in the sales decrease in Bedford.  The second biggest dollar decrease is Colleyville.  The sales  decrease in Colleyville is prior to the loss of one of its top sales tax producers, Payless Cashways.
