Colleyville's Car Chase Suspect was arrested twice in Southlake

Colleyville Mug Shot
from April 8th

Doug Bachstein was apprehended in a high speed car chase through neighborhoods of Colleyville on Friday April 8th.  Bachstein is known to Southlake Police as well.  The suspect had been arrested twice in Southlake.  July 2003 he was arrested for probation and parole violations and then again in December 2003 for parole violation.  Despite the fact the convicted child molester had a prison sentence that would keep him incarcerated until next year and the fact he was arrested for multiple probation and parole violations, Bachstein put police officers and civilians in harms way on Friday night.  His attempt to evade Colleyville Officer Raymon Cannon resulted in Bachstein wrecking out after crashing into the historic Couch building on Colleyville Boulevard.

The Friday night five minute car chase was recorded on the in-car camera of Colleyville Officer Raymon Cannon.  The in-car camera recorded Bachstein's maneuvers in his attempt to evade the police officer including a near collision at one point with the police car.  Click Here to read the article and for a link to the car chase video.
