Sponsored by The Women’s Shelter, The Legacy of Women Awards honors five outstanding community women chosen from nominees within five specific categories. CWC is proud to announce its nominee for the Arts/Media Category, Kelley Herring, CWC member and Marketing Director for the Star-Telegram, who has been chosen as the 2001 Legacy of Women Outstanding Honoree in the Arts/Media Category.

2001 Eckerds Salute to Women Awards

Annually, Eckerds Drug Stores sponsors its “Salute to Women Awards, a national campaign to recognize the giving hearts and willing hands of women volunteers nationwide. This year CWC nominates members Ginny Tigue of Colleyville, for her work with Christmas Providers, and Linda McNeely of Southlake for her efforts with Open Arms Home, Inc.
