Center Adds
32,000-Square-Foot Wing for Last Call's First North Texas Location Grapevine, Texas - Aug. 14, 2001 - City of Grapevine and State of Texas officials, in conjunction with executives from Grapevine Mills and Neiman Marcus, broke ground today on a store that will be a first for North Texas: Last Call From Neiman Marcus. The Grapevine Mills addition means area shoppers, as well as Grapevine Mills visitors from Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, will no longer have to drive to Austin to visit Last Call From Neiman Marcus.
The Grapevine Mills location will be a 32,000-square-foot shopper's paradise located on the east side of the center between Rainforest Café and Books-A-Million. Last Call From Neiman Marcus is scheduled to open at Grapevine Mills in Spring 2002. "We are excited about bringing Last Call From Neiman Marcus to residents of the area that Neiman Marcus calls home," said Tom Stangle, senior vice president and director of stores for Neiman Marcus. "Grapevine Mills and Last Call From Neiman Marcus are a perfect fit, since Grapevine Mills and Last Call are both one-of-a-kind shopping destinations for customers who will travel long distances for high fashion at a great value." "We couldn't be more thrilled to have such a distinctive tenant choose to build at Grapevine Mills," said Judith Berson, executive vice president for The Mills Corporation. "Having a Last Call From Neiman Marcus will further enhance the center's status as a leading super-regional destination for shopping and entertainment."
Last Call From Neiman Marcus offers a consolidation of marked down merchandise from the upscale retailer's 32 stores nationwide, NM Direct as well as Bergdorf Goodman. But Last Call differs from other discount stores. It offers the quality merchandise that shoppers expect from Neiman Marcus at significant savings. Prices at Last Call From Neiman Marcus are typically 40-80% off the original selling price. Located just two miles north of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport centrally between Dallas and Fort Worth, the 1.5 million-square-foot Grapevine Mills is one of the largest shopping centers in Texas. Grapevine Mills offers more than 200 manufacturer and retail outlets, off-price retailers, specialty stores, and dining and entertainment venues.
