An
Update on The Village at Colleyville...
What's
going on at the Village? LNO has received several emails
from the residents of Colleyville asking that very question.
So LNO went straight to the source.
The
Village at Colleyville will be a development with over 800,000
square feet of upscale retailers, restaurants, entertainment,
hotels, offices and residential villas. It is located in
downtown Colleyville, at Main Street and Highway 26. From
26, you can't see all the progress being made but just click on
the aerial below and you will see the difference a year can make.

Their
website states, "In The Village, you can live, work, play and
entertain in a quaint, small-town atmosphere reminiscent of the
romantic courtyards of a European village."
The
Village at Colleyville was the inspiration of Richard Myers and
Tom Miller of Realty Capital Corporation. Richard and Tom
had dreamed of a place in Colleyville that would bring the
community together and offer a central location for music, parades
and events like the annual tree lighting.

Their
goal
is for The Village to be Colleyville's community center with
residential villas and office and retail establishments including:
bed and breakfast inns, an old-fashioned five and dime store,
bakeries, toy shops, book stores, art galleries and day spas,
among many others. The buildings will be three stories
constructed of brick, stone, stucco or a combination with a
Spanish/Mediterranean feel. The occupants can buy the space
instead of just leasing it. As a matter of fact, you could
have several owners for one building. An example is that the
first floor could be owned by a retail store, the second by a
company needing office space and the third by an individual for
their residence. An individual could also own all three
levels and divide it up however they prefer. The only
requirements are that the first level is retail. After that,
the top two levels can be used as the owner desires.
