Friends of the Colleyville Public Library held the first fundraiser at the Colleyville Community Center on May 1, 2001..  Ms. Carol Wollin, Co-Chair with Mrs. MaryAnn Nicholson, said there were close to 100 attendees.  "Today was more of an opportunity to provide information and let everyone know that we are here" stated Ms. Wollin. We are looking forward to the groundbreaking ceremony that is scheduled for January but could be held as early as December.  "We didn't really have a goal set for today but the day was a huge success", Ms. Wollin expressed.

Mr. Dave Lieber, Master of Ceremonies, played "Regis" for the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" Andrew Wayne for his advice or a 50/50 from Ms. Ret Stansberger.  Ms. Stansberger would give two of the wrong answers, leaving one wrong answer and the right answer.
