Market Street Opens September 3rd in Colleyville

Market Street, a world-class food concept store, will open its first DFW-area location in Colleyville on Sept 3 at 9 a.m., following a special grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new facility is a 72,000 square foot, unique market that combines everyday grocery items with specialty and gourmet items. Market Street has also announced that they will be offering cooking classes. 

Market Street will offer a range of culinary delights including demonstrations and hands on classes with featured chefs. At Market Street’s Dish Event Center, guests can learn everything from jazzing up everyday menus, creative after-school snacks and gourmet dishes. 

More than 50 classes will be offered this fall, including “Festive Fall Dishes: Cookin’ Cajun;”  “Mom Power: Picky Eaters and Other Power Struggles;” “Sophisticated Favorites;” and “Grilling Favorites.” 

“You can become a celebrity in your own kitchen,” explains Alan Barron, store director.

Classes are usually two and a half hours and can seat approximately 25 students. Times and prices vary. The Dish Event Center is located on the second floor of  Market Street and will be a meeting place for community and customer gatherings. It includes a culinary center, a dining area, and a specialty shop of gifts and gadgets for the cook. 

The first culinary event is “Hudson’s on the Bend: Fearless Cooking!” on Saturday, September 13, 1-3:30 p.m. Hudson’s on the Bend, an Austin Restaurant, owner Jeff Blank and executive chef Becky Barsch Fischer will throw out conventional kitchen wisdom and show you how to spice it up in the kitchen. The class will cost $49. 

Market Street is located in Town Center Colleyville at 5605 Colleyville Blvd at Hall-Johnson Rd.  Colleyville’s Market Street will be the fourth to open. The first was opened in Wichita Falls in 1998, followed by stores in Amarillo and Lubbock.  The store will be open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight.
