COLLEYVILLE CITY COUNCIL SCHEDULES WORK SESSION TO REVIEW PROJECTS/UPDATES ON LIBRARY & CITY HALL...By Linda Newton The Colleyville City Council has announced a work session, which will be open to the public, to discuss the status of various city projects. The session will be held at Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center Currency Room. The hotel is located at 1800 Highway 26 East in Grapevine. It will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 29, and resume at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 30. A preliminary plan for the new city hall and library will be presented from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday by the architectural firm of Brinkley-Sargent. In addition to the library/city hall presentation staff members will update the council on the status of other projects underway in the city. This work session precedes the annual priority setting session of the council, which has been set for July 7. "This is the second year we have organized the meetings in this way," said interim City Manager Dianne McWethy. "With new members joining the council in May, this gives staff an opportunity to review with everyone the status of projects prior to the actual priority setting session." Joe Hocutt and Brad Rice were elected to Place 1 and 2 in May of this year. Dennis Marlin and Dana Feldman have served since May of 2000, Ginny Tigue since 1998, and Mayor Donna Arp was initially elected councilperson in 1997. |
