What was he thinking? Column by Jeff Moore Buffalo, NY

"Many Economic Development Task Force (EDTF) Members Are Ready to Bolt if Veto of Appointments is Sustained"

I have a comment in regard to your mayor recent decisions involving appointments.....?

What was he thinking?  W's gonna have to step in and set up democracy again.
This guy is out of his mind.  Does he have the authority to do what he did
in Vetoing the appointments made there last week?  His head is so big,
Macys is thinking of placing him in the next parade.

I guess Dictators are still allowed to rule in this country.

Up north, we have problems with declining population, businesses moving south, etc.
I see growth all "around" Colleyville, but empty buildings in Colleyville.  Your community
does not promote growth in business.  Most of those that shoot down the growth probably shopped at Walmart, Hills, Gold Circle, etc., when you lived elsewhere before being transferred to the Texas area. Now you have to be better then your neighbor, park your car in a garage "out of site."  You know, those thinks that only snobby people make a point
of doing to be better then others.  But you'll get in your cars and drive to Richland hills to shop incognito so your neighbors don't know that you like having a store you can go to
because they have good deals

What your main problem is, Colleyville residents are worried about what others think.
So why not wake up and be concerned about what this group of in office is doing to
your community.  It must be nice that you have all that extra money to pay taxes with
rather then get some from businesses (boxes) you have allowed to be turned away.
Meanwhile, you shop in other communities and help them save on their property taxes, and come back to Colleyville with the empty business.  Makes no sense to me.  Your town
needs some Viagra (commercial tax base)

IN GOD WE TRUST, ALL OTHERS BRING GRAPHS!!

"I've got good news, no, I'm not changing my vetoes, but I did save by switching to Gieco"

Colleyville Dictator Joe Hocutt Declares Veto to Stand, City Has "Best Commercial Growth in History" and He Does Not Want to "Return to Past" (1800s that is)

Dictator Hocutt's side kicks have been caught recently lying about their presence
in recent meetings, (by the way, nice picture in the Fur Coat Donna!  You really should think before you have your picture taken, I hear you are going to be featured on the PETA calendar in 2004}.  I've ordered my copy already.

Why do the people in Colleyville put up with her? That's right, your elected her too!

Sign me, unsympathetic in Angola

And a special comment to the guy going thru his mid-life crisis, "If you cut your ponytail, then at least you wouldn't look like an ass when your making one of yourself at town meetings."
