Students and parents at Silver Lake Elementary are encouraged to attend "Meet your Teacher" night on Monday, Aug. 13, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Class rosters will be posted that day at 4 p.m. For information, contact the school office at 817/251-5750.

Silver Lake's PTA is having its annual membership drive through mid-September. Parents, guardians and other interested community members are encouraged to join the Silver Lake Elementary School PTA or the 2001-02 school year. Dues are $5.50 per member and those joining at the local level automatically become members of the Texas PTA and National PTA. Look for the PTA booth at the "Meet the Teacher" night on Aug. 13. The first general meeting of the Silver Lake PTA will be Thursday, Aug. 30, 7 p.m. in the school cafetorium. Learn more about the Destination Imagination program, the fall fund-raiser and other events sponsored by the PTA and enjoy an opportunity to meet and visit with other Silver Lake parents and guardians.
