Prior to the beginning of school, all GCISD students must provide proof of residency to assure that they are attending the schools within their designated attendance areas. New attendance areas for middle schools were adopted by the Board of Trustees in the spring to help balance student enrollment in the four middle schools. All households affected by changes in the attendance areas received a letter notifying them of the change.

For residency verification, a student must have at least one of the following: executed lease, deed of sale, tax statement; and at least two of the following: current matching Texas driver’s license, current utility bill(s) in your name, or other proof of residency. Post office box numbers will not be accepted. 

For elementary students, residency verification may be done July 31 and August 1 during new and returning student registration. Times vary for each school and parents may check the district’s website for exact times or contact the school after July 1. 

For middle school students, residency verification is as follows:

Colleyville Middle School – during schedule pickup times below 

· 6th grade - Aug. 13, A-L, 1-3 p.m., M-Z, 9-11 a.m.; 
· 7th grade - Aug. 14, 1-3 p.m.; and 
· 8th grade - Aug. 14, 9-11 a.m. 
New student registration is Aug. 6 & 7, 9-11 a.m. Colt Camp, orientation for all students – Aug. 15, 1st day of school 

Cross Timbers Middle – Aug. 1 for all students. Residency must be verified on this date to pick up schedule. Schedule pickup times are: 

· 6th grade and new students Wolf Welcome– Aug. 10, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., with parents joining students at 2 p.m. 
· 7th and 8th grades – Aug. 13, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. 
New student registration is Aug. 1, 2 & 3 

Grapevine Middle - during schedule pickup times below 

· 6th grade and new students Pony Camp - Aug. 13, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (lunch provided) 
· 7th & 8th grades – Aug. 7, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 6th grade student/parent orientation will be on Aug. 13, 6:30 p.m. 
Throughout the month of August, students with parents may tour the new Grapevine Middle School building, at 301 Pony Parkway, Monday-Friday, 8:30-4 p.m. 
New student registration – Aug. 6-15, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 

Heritage Middle – during schedule pickup times below 

· 6th grade, Aug. 14 – A-F, 9 a.m., G-M, 10 a.m., N-R, 11 a.m., S-Z, 12 noon 
· 7th grade , Aug. 13 – A-F, 12 noon, G-M, 12:30 p.m., N-R, 1 p.m., S-Z, 1:30 p.m. 
· 8th grade, Aug. 13 – A-F, 9 a.m., G-M, 9:30 a.m., N-R, 10 a.m., S-Z, 10:30 a.m. 
New student registration is Aug. 3, 6 and 7, 9 a.m.-12 noon and 1-3 p.m. 

Colleyville Heritage High – at schedule pickup times below 

· Freshman – Aug. 6, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Freshman CAT Camp - Aug. 6, 1-4 p.m. 
· Sophomores - Aug. 7, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 
· Juniors - Aug. 9, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. 
· Seniors - Aug. 10, 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. 
· Makeup day for all grades - Aug. 13, 2-7 p.m. 
New student registration is Aug. 

Grapevine High – at schedule pickup times below 

· Freshman FISH Camp – Aug. 2, 8 a.m.-12 noon, Gym 2
