The Colleyville Police Department has experienced an increase in reports of thefts that have occurred at local businesses. The thefts involve the taking of the employee’s "personal" items, not the items of the business.

Take extra precaution and place your valuables in a locked storeroom, filing cabinet or an area that is not accessible to the general public. Stay alert and be aware that an accomplice could distract you while another person is taking your belongings. Pay attention to a person’s physical description and if possible, obtain the license plate number of their vehicle.

If you feel that a person is acting suspicious or you feel uncomfortable, do not hesitate to contact us.

If you determine that a theft of your personal property, checkbook, credit cards or identification has occurred; call the police as soon as possible and immediately contact the appropriate financial institution for your checking and credit card accounts to report the theft. These thieves hit quick and move fast, do not hesitate or it may be too late.
