Mrs. Smith donated the land for the Community Center.

The Town Center area was originally planned as the "downtown" of Colleyville by Herman Smith.  Plans called for a city campus that included City Hall and a Library, along with the existing Community Center and Justice Center.  However, the City Hall and the Library were moved to the Villages of Colleyville.

Patsy Smith has continued to pursue his vision of a downtown for the city.
