Terri Moore (on left) introduced
by Jim Fletcher
Ms. Moore discussed
the differences between state jurisdiction of criminal cases
versus federal. She explained, traditionally, the
state handled crimes of violence, while the federal prosecutors
handled crimes with clear "interstate" commerce
implications. However, she stated that "creeping
federalism" into the state criminal matters has become an
issue.

Terri Moore, Asst. U. S. Attorney
Ms. Moore confirm the old adage that,
"You can indict a ham sandwich", and that, clearly an
indictment does not automatically translate to guilty.
However, the Federal Grand Jury system is a very intense and slow
process to help insure fairness and accuracy.
While Ms. Moore did
not confirm her plans, many believe she is gearing up to challenge
the current Tarrant County District Attorney Tim Curry in the next
election. Ms. Moore is a Democrat.
