the
Colleyville City Council has analyzed the Village at Colleyville as a
potential site for the new Colleyville City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Village at Colleyville is an approved PUD-C
which sets numerous conditions for the development of the site including
building location and height, landscaping, setbacks, density, and other
conditions; and
WHEREAS, the PUD-C zoning category gives the City
Council greater control over development than is available in other zoning
categories; and
WHEREAS, the City Hall and related improvements are to
be constructed with Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District funds; and
WHEREAS, the City has an existing TIF Agreement and
Developer’s Agreement with the developer of the Village at Colleyville;
and
WHEREAS, the Village at Colleyville site offers
substantial costs savings in the development of improvements related to
the City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the developer of the Village at Colleyville
has offered to donate in fee simple title a site to the City for the new
Colleyville City Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY
OF COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS:
Sec. 1. THAT the protections provided by the existing
zoning and Agreements, and the substantial cost savings available to the
residents of Colleyville, make the Village at Colleyville the preferred
site for the City Hall development.
Sec. 2. THAT the Mayor is hereby authorized to negotiate
an agreement with the
developer of the Village at Colleyville to locate the new
Colleyville City Hall on the Village at Colleyville site and present the
agreement to the City Council for action.
