Local News Only.com Announces Editor

Local News Only.com, Colleyville, Texas Edition, announced that long term resident, activist, community leader and former council member, Linda Newton has joined the firm as the Editor of the Colleyville Internet News Agency offering.  With the addition of Mrs. Newton, Kimberly Connor has taken on the responsibility of Featured Editor and will also direct the coverage of GCISD.

Mrs. Newton has twenty years of experience in chamber of commerce activities and community involvement in Colleyville.  She has been a local business owner since 1984.

Linda Newton

Linda Newton has a Masters of Business Administration and a B.A. in Finance.  She is a graduate of Grapevine High School. He past community activities include, Colleyville City Council 1989 -1993, Mayor Pro Tem, 1992-1993, Planning and Zoning Commission, 1982-1984, Corridor Study Committee Chairman, 1994, Community Center Committee, 1993-1999, Sesquicentennial Committee Chairman, 1985-1986.  She has also been active with the United Way and serves on numerous boards as a director. Ms Newton served on the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce as its first Vice President, 1982-1983 and Board of Directors 1984-1986.  She received the Outstanding Service Award in 1984, the Community Service Award in 1988 and Co-Founded and Chaired Leadership Colleyville.

She served on the Bransford Elementary Excellence Committee, 1993-1995, the Citizens Advisory Committee, 1986-1987 and as the Junior Achievement Project Business Volunteer Teacher, 1987-1989.
