The following e-mail was sent to the Mayor and all Council members and any comments will be posted as a follow up to this article.
The Payless Cashways at Cheek Sparger and Hwy 26 is closing. We are requesting a response to the following questions, prior to the posting of the story.
1.) Have you discussed the closing with any official of Payless and obtained input in reference to their decision to close the store?
2.) What impact does this have on the Sales Tax of Colleyville?
3.) Do you feel the rejection of the Burke Collins request for zoning had any impact of the decision of Payless?
4.) Should or could the city have done anything to encourage this business to remain in Colleyville?
