COLLEYVILLE SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND SPECIAL EVENTS

All activities and events are for Senior Adults 55 years and older. If you would like to register for any event listed please call Renee Garrett at 817.656.7275 or 817.498.4749 (metro) or stop by the Colleyville Parks and Recreation Office at 5109 Bransford Road. The Parks and Recreation Department offers a vary of activities for the senior adult. Please register for classes through the Parks and Recreation Department 5109 Bransford Road.

Classes that we are offering at this time:

Introduction to Tai Chi will teach you the traditional Yang style Tai Chi. The cost for this class is $18 per month. The class meets Mondays from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at L.D. Lockett House

Introduction to Computers class is designed for the beginner students. This course will teach you the basic to computers. Cost for each session is $10 per class Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at the L.D. Lockett House.

Windows (prerequisite Introduction to Computers). This course will expand your knowledge of the computer. Cost for each class is $10 per class Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at the L.D. Lockett House

Oil Painting in a Day will amaze your family, friends and even yourself. In a matter of three hours you will take home a completed painting. All you have to bring is yourself and a roll of paper towels. All the supplies are furnished. Yes you are reading this right. Classes will be held at 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the L.D. Lockett House. Cost is $35 per class.

  • Tuesday, December 18 Christmas Snow Scene

Arts and Craft Class varies month to month please call for more information.

Exercise Mondays and Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. Cost is $20 per month.

Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure is the second Monday of each month, courtesy of the Colleyville Fire Department from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

City of Colleyville and Metroport Meals on Wheels meets every first and third Friday of each month. The cost is $2.50 or bring a salad or dessert. The location of this event is at Colleyville Community Center 5300 Bluebonnet Drive. Every first Friday is Bingo and every third Friday is Arts and Crafts.

Supper and Social every Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the L. D. Lockett House. This a great way to meet new people. At 6:30 p.m. the Potluck Supper starts and shortly after supper the Social starts. We play 42, and Hand, Foot Canasta and many other activities.
