Medical Center at Grapevine Offers Weight Management Class

Baylor Medical Center at Grapevine is offering a weight management class just for men called “Man Food”. This 2-hour class is designed to educate men on losing weight and keeping it off. The Lifestyle Weight Management Center at Baylor Grapevine is offering a class Monday, November 5, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in conference room A/B at Baylor Grapevine, Hwy. 114 West at Hwy. 26 in Grapevine. The cost for the class is $45.00. To register for the class or for more information, please call Clinical Nutrition Services Associate Director Kim Ramsay, RD, LD, at 817-329-2569. Led by registered, licensed dietitians, “Man Food” will help men understand what it takes to burn calories and lose the fat. The class also teaches men the following: calculating body mass index and percent body fat, how much should men eat per day, what kinds of food are best to eat, which fats are bad, fad diets, what time of the day to eat, exercising, eating out, reading labels, and cooking at home. "The goal of this class is for men to learn and understand manageable weight loss techniques that will work for them and last a lifetime," says Dee Rollins, PhD, RD, LD, a registered dietitian who leads the “Man Food” class at Baylor Grapevine.
