The National Mental Health Association, National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and Habitat for Humanity International have formed "A Partnership to Open Doors" to address the needs of families who are dealing with mental illness. The first Habitat house to be built through this unique partnership will be built in Fort Worth, using the resources of the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. The house will be dedicated on Sunday, November 18, 2001 at 2:00pm. Volunteers are still needed to assist in this project. Volunteer hours are scheduled for the following dates:

Thursday, Nov. 8: 7-12, 12:30-5:30 start shingles, siding and exterior trim

Friday, Nov. 9: finish roof, continue siding and exterior trim, and work on fence

Saturday, Nov. 10: finish siding, work on exterior trim & exterior paint, work on fence

Thursday, Nov. 15: interior paint and caulking

Friday, Nov. 16: finish exterior paint, start landscaping, finish fence and continue interior paint

Saturday, Nov. 17: interior finish out, hardware, touch up paint, etc., clean up

They need your help. You don't have to be a skilled construction worker.  You just need to have a willingness to volunteer, and must be at least 14 years old. Join the fun and help build a house for a family in our community. If you or your friends or family are interested, contact:
