The early residents of Colleyville fought the early developers and certain city council representatives who were foaming at the mouth to benefit financially from approving residential high density and apartments. One acre minimum lot size was thrown out the window for less than half an acre lot size in the late ’70’s! The door was now cracked open for the apartment battle, again! Colleyville’s early residents made very wise decisions about the growth of their beautiful city but these new outsiders on council made changes that did not reflect the one acre large lots as originally intended!
